California State University, Chico

A cool-ish school in Northern California with a beautiful campus, nice facilities, and an acceptable quantity and quality of textbooks, but with sporadic shitty faculty. Your grades don't reflect your knowledge, they reflect how much a teacher likes you. You won't learn anything. Waste your time at a great place for spending time in a neat place where you can do personal study, and where the only people who have half a monkey's clue what they're doing here are the students, who tend to be friendly and polite for the most part. Parties are lamer than cheesy high school parties, but the crowd tends to be nice. Enjoy your otherwise comfortable and sanitary stay and the beautiful scenery. Plus side? Nice bars in town, and the Sierra Nevada brewery, and nice restaurants. And keep it hillbilly. :)
Douched #1: Yo dude, I got an F in this class at California State University, Chico, even though I did all the work and answered everything right, and handed it all in time! And I went to all the classes, because if you're absent more than the allowed time, you fail, because they take fucking roll like it's goddam pre-school!
Douched #2: That's because you didn't pleasure your Nazi teacher in a Satanist way and lucked out by not getting one of the cool ones. Don't bother petitioning, monkeys will not help you. Only the books in the library and bookstore can make your time here educationally worthwhile if your teacher is a Nazi.

california state university Los angeles

Also known as Cal State LA, this continuation of community college caters to students not worthy of a UC education, and only requires a 2.0 gpa. Students from East Los Angeles College and other surrounding community colleges abound in the campus. It is located close to City of Terrace. It is one of the low tier schools in the Cal State system. It would like to someday have a comparable reputation as to that of UCLA.
Boy 1: I go to Cal State LA.
Boy 2: Oh, is it the one by ELAC (East Los Angeles College)?

California State University Employee Union (CSUEU)

A union fighting for student assistants to have better pay, benefits, and FINALLY BE ABLE TO AFFORD PARKING!!
Wow, thank god me and all my friends voted #UnionYes so that student assistants across CSU campuses finally have affordable parking. Thanks California State University Employee Union (CSUEU).

University of California, Redemption

UCR, or University of California, Riverside. In the 21st Century, UCR is less the school for UC Rejects, and more the campus of choice for many highly qualified applicants who may have gotten rejected by other, more selective UCs, but would have otherwise SMOKED college applications in other State Universities across the country.
I didn't get into the UCs of my choice this time, but despite busting my ass in high school, I'm thankful that I got into the University of California, Redemption!

University of California San Diego

Founded in 1960, the University of California-San Diego (widely known as UCSD)is a high-ranked public research university located in North County San Diego in the conservative community of La Jolla. UCSD puts much of its focus and funding into its research depts. and graduate schools. This is good in the sense that it has raised the university to number 32 in the country in only 46 years, but bad in that it leaves the undergrads without any grand sports events and frat row, like its sisters UCLA and Berkeley. UCSD has come to the very point of surpassing UCLA in academics, out ranking it in Engineering, Poli Sci, and Theatre amoung other things. Without a large waste of money on a football team, the campus is sadly decentralized and lacks a reason to come together. In the good ol' days, UCSD was so liberal, that in one instance a student lit himself on fire and died, to protest the Vietnam war. It is inevitable, that in time UCSD will surpass the outdated UCLA, because of its fast climb and focus solely on academics. More students are now choosing SD over LA as well as Berkeley.
I got into the three best UC's. Berkeley, LA, and San Diego. I could live in a foggy shithole, in a cloud of pollution, or by a ocean bluff...what did you THINK I'd choose?

University of California San Diego: THE SMARTER ONES (taken from a bumper sticker in the bookstore).

Typical UCSD weekend: A gust of wind through the eucalyptus tress and weird songs from the Singing Tree.

Typical UCSD party: One handle of vodka with 100 tomato-faced asians.

Another typical UCSD party: Bad ass memories of Tijuana and the fuckload of money lost at Barona.

University of California, Irvine

A relatively young, highly ranked school established in 1965 with great academics that is steadily rising in reputation. UC Irvine has one of the highest student populations of Asians at around 52% in 2008.

Some people still think that UCI has no social scene because it is set in the stereotype that it is a "commuter school".

Irvine, the city the school resides in, is a very safe and clean (not to mention very expensive) community.

UC Irvine was ranked #41 in the National Universities category and #11 in the Top Public Universities in the United States by U.S News and World Reports' "Best Colleges 2011" annual rankings.
Amanda was rejected from the University of California, Irvine.
