Blainestorming

v. "the pursuit of the perfect number for a musical or show choir competition"

The word comes from Liam_the_lemming's "Coming Out, Standing Up, Walking Tall," a fanfiction based around characters and situations from the television series "Glee." Blainestorming is named after Blaine Anderson, a character known for being in a relationship with Kurt Hummel of the New Directions and being a part of the Warblers, a competing Glee club.
"A term jumped to the forefront of Dave's mind. 'Wow. Nice bit of Blainestorming there, guys,' he grinned."

Example comes from "Chapter 11: Family, Friends, and Faithfulness" of Liam_the_lemming's "Coming Out, Standing Up, Walking Tall."
