1. Term used to describe what happens when someone throws a party.

2. Term used to also describe what people do at a party.

Ex. 1 "Yo man, Tyler's throwin' down over on Sheep Creek."
Ex. 2 "Hey, call John, tell him to get his ass over here, because we're throwin' down hard."
