Buddhism is a religion which has its beginnings with Siddharta Gautama, a prince who gave up material possessions in order to meditate, always searching for the reasons of life. He came up with the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, things which also Buddhists live by. Siddharta became known as the Buddha, and despite those fat, bald little Buddhas you may have seen, looked nothing like them.
Buddhism generally calls for a passive way of life, giving up material possessions in the search for truth and enlightenment. This is usually done through hours and hours of meditation.

Christianity came to being with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ himself was a Jew, a believer in the God of the Holy Bible. The Christians were his followers. Some Jews, however, did not believe in his teachings, did not believe that he was the savior. That's why Jesus' followers became known as Christians, and the Jews (practicers of Judaism) were those who did not believe that he was the son of God. Christians follow the Ten Commandments. They believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) which is one God but made of three parts. Baptism is required to wash past sins away, and repentance is necessary for forgiveness and the admittance to heaven.
Christianity = Belief in Jesus Christ.

Hinduism is a religion based mainly in India. It's followers are part of a caste system. A caste system is like a hierarchy from which you cannot change. If you were born a peasant then you will stay a peasant.
According to Hinduism your life must be devoted to good. If, for some reason, you do not fulfill what is required to reach Nirvana (the state of peace after reincarnation) then you will be reincarnated into some other form of life, be it human or animal. This state of reincarnation goes on and on until in one of your lives you are deemed good enough for Nirvana.
