A word created by right-wing Christians in order to play the minority victim. The word obviously comes from the use of the word 'homophobic' which many Christians are. They feel that if people are calling them homophobic then they are 'christophobic'. The major difference is that Christians are not an oppressed minority group as homosexuals are. Instead, they are the oppressors. Christian: "Why do you hate Jesus?"
Gay person: "I don't hate Jesus, I don't even believe in him! I do however hate the ideals that Christians uphold such as denouncing homosexuality." Christian: "You're Christophobic just admit it!" Gay person: "What the fuck does that even mean? Did you just make that up or something? Well, I'm not afraid of something I don't think even exists. You however are a homophobe because you blindly follow a book written by ancient dirt farmers that has been translated so many times it probably doesn't even slightly resemble the original text." Christian: "Christophobe!" Gay person: "You're a moron." |
