"Live and Let Die" is originally a song written by Paul McCartney. The lyrics refer to a young naive person saying Live and let Live. But after being exposed to more of the world and becoming worn down by it, he says Live and Let Die meaning I'm going to what I want and everyone else can get screwed.

"Live and let live" is a often heard expression of philosophy meaning "I will live, and I let others live too."
This idea was compared to "live and let die" for the spy movie, meaning "I will live, but I will let all others die." This is a less peaceful, more dangerous philosophy, appropriate for a spy movie...'007

When you were young and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, You know you did, You know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Chorus:
Say live and let die
Live and let die
Live and let die
Live and let die
What does it matter to ya?
When you got a job to do
You gotta do it well
You gotta give the other fellow hell
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, You know you did, You know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
(Chorus)
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, You know you did, You know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Chorus:
Say live and let die
Live and let die
Live and let die
Live and let die
What does it matter to ya?
When you got a job to do
You gotta do it well
You gotta give the other fellow hell
You used to say live and let live
(You know you did, You know you did, You know you did)
But if this ever-changing world in which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
(Chorus)

The 8th James Bond film from 1973, and the first of seven films starring Roger Moore. The film is unique as it's the only film so far to have a sole African American lead villain, as well as henchmen. The bond girl was Jane Seymour in her first major film.
The title song, written and performed by Paul McCartney and Wings was one of the most popular songs of the year 1973 and one of the most popular Bond songs period.
