Marshall Field's

A famous Chicago department store chain first established in 1852. Famous for its excellent service, Frango mint chocolates, State Street flagship store in downtown Chicago, clocks on the corners of the flagship store, and the Tiffany Favrile Ceiling.

In 2006, all Marshall Field's locations became Macy's when they acquired Marshall Field's parent company, the May Department Store Company. The acquisition and name change sparked many protests and a boycott of Macy's by former Field's shoppers.

journey to the field’s edge

A journey taken to learn something from outside of your current world view.

Used to tell someone they are privileged or sheltered and should seek more of the world to see how life really is.
“How can you see the whole world if all you’ve ever done is live in the tall grass?, You have to journey to the field’s edge to see what the world really holds!”

fair's field party

An amazing place to party if you're looking for an awful time. You're not getting laid from any girls that show up if you don't have a razor or a truck that's beat to shit. Not to mention that most of the girls that show up there are still in High School. Average age of men that arrive are 19-22. Average age of woman that arrive are 15-18. The young girls are always up for a good and sexual time if you provide alcohol and a ride in your razor. You may think their fires are made out of firewood? Nope, their fires are made out of used tires. In this case, if you've been to any field parties at fairs, you should probably get a CT scan the following month to see if you have lung cancer. Locals may show up and either stab or shoot you. If your bored and that's your type of crowd, get out there!
Hey what are you up to tonight man?
Nothing, I might go to fair's field party?
Don't go unless you have a razor or a taste in underage woman...
uhhh I'm good, It doesn't sound like a very good time...
That's what I thought, let that cesspool have fun!

If there's grass on the field, play ball

A term basically saying that it's alright to at least be attracted to a person as long as they've gone past puberty. Obviously "grass" refers to their "bush" or pubic hair. Would typically be applied to, for instance, a girl maybe 13 years old and up. Can often be used in reference to actual sex (intercourse) but not necessarily.
Man#1: What's the youngest chick you would ever be into at your age? I mean what do you think is "okay" to fantasize about?

Man#2: Hey man. Like my coach always said: if there's grass on the field, it's time to play ball.

if there's grass on the field play ball

If an underage girl has reached puberty, she may be considered appropriate for sexual activity. The reference to "grass on the field" is a metaphor for pubic hair, meaning that any girl who has reached sexual maturity, may be an appropriate sex partner.

If there's grass on the field, play ball

Traditionally, used to denote the beginning of (American) baseball season practice anxiously awaited by enthusiasts each springtime: If there was grass growing, then the season had progressed enou gh past winter to start the new season: "play ball!" More recently, it has become a slang inferring statutory laws regarding underage females did not, in practice, realistically apply and that instead, the presence of pubic hair (grass) indicated sufficient maturation to begin sexual activity (play ball).
"I know your sister's only twelve, but I go by baseball, not age, "If there's grass on the field, play ball!"

A lighthearted reaction upon receiving disappointing news of some sort. Usually something that isn't a particularly a big deal, esp. when it primarily affects someone else - sort of a mild schadenfreude. Sometimes doubled or tripled, and possibly said in a sing-songy voice for added comedic effect to imitate a muted trumpet, which is how the meme originated.
