When you save a smiley on MSN Messenger or other and it pops up without it being your intention and ruins your message.

Henrik: The other day my aunt asked me on MSN what she should get me for christmas. I wrote that I had not thought of anything special. When I looked up from my keyboard the P in special had been replaced by a penis.

Eirik: Ooh. thats an Epic Smiley Fail. What did she say?

Henrik: She pretended like nothing, but it kind of ended the whole conversation though....

Eirik: Obviously... And it probably decreased the value of your christmas present by 50%...

Henrik: Damn Msn.

Smiley Fart 

The new avant garde emoticon coined by Digg co-founder Kevin Rose. Though not technically an actual emticon, it is meant to take the place of the standard "smiley face" in spoken conversation when a person is verbalizing a sms or tweet. Especially one heavy in lol speak.

Chain with a lock on it used for self-defense or assault. Street term. Some say it has to have TWO locks on it, that the two locks leave two marks on the recipient's head that resemble a smiley face. WRONG! Just one lock is used. Originally it was usually a masterlock combination lock that was used, which is round. The round housing of the lock leaves a crescent-shaped mark resembling a smile. The weapon probably originated as a weapon of convenience -- cyclists had them on hand to lock up their bikes and when attacked they grabbed what they had handy. So it's an effective weapon that can't be called weapon by the cops (if you have a bike, or course!).

Some jackass with a knife tried to take my wallet and new bike, so I caught him upside the head with my smiley chain. At least he still has THAT smile on his face.
