The tone and enthusiasm in someone's voice in an attempt to be friendly while working retail. It tends to disappear if the person knows the customer.
The lady at McDonald's this morning had an annoyingly chipper retail voice. I bet everyone who was as hungover as I was wanted to punch her in the face.

The force exterted on a human body by retail outlets. Typically experienced when out walking with your partner and they trail 10 metres behind you looking in shoe/clothing/accessory/tool/electrical shops. The force is sex-specific, females being almost exclusively affected by the first three, males by the latter two. Retail drag is similar to other drag forces in that the drag force increases the faster you try to move the affected body.
- "We are going to have to walk faster or we'll miss our train"
- "Yeah, the girls have got bad retail drag"

A condition in which a person shops incessantly, making extravagent purchases for the pure joy of the acquisition experience, but then returns everything the next day.
"I don't know what came over me - when I was in Nieman Marcus, I just had to have that $400 Versace bag, but once I got it home, I felt so guilty, and it seemed so ugly that I returned it. After that, I felt great - cleaner somehow. I'm afraid I might have retail bulimia."

The act of folding clothes on your chick's back while doing her doggy-style so as to not lose your clothes in her room each time you want to go smoosh.
Dude I lost my favorite pant's at my Ex's again.
Man you forgot about "Working Retail"
Oh yeah.
Yeah it totally works, I never lose a thing when I'm bangin her.

For those who work in retail during the holiday season it's the phenomenon of going into work in the dark and going home in the dark-- thus eliminating any sun exposure for about 3 months.
