Protest Pop

Protest Pop” is a genre of music coined by Sa’ra Charismata. It is pop music with conscious lyrics and a healing message. Charismata has lead this movement since before 2013.
Charismata described her early style of music as "Protest Pop," a term she coined herself. Afropunk has previously described Charismata as "the quintessential revival of the modern protest song in pop music" and "an outspoken voice that mainstream media may never acknowledge.

Sonic Boom Protests

The Sonic Boom Protests were a series of protests against how in Sonic Boom, Sonic had blue arms. Yes, really. The protests were done by Christian Weston Chandler, better known as Chris Chan. What he did was he went to GameStop and vandalized the Sonic Boom posters in order to make Sonic’s arms tan. When he was asked to stop, he said “Don’t call anybody!” and maced an employee. Because GameStop workers definitely programmed the games and made Sonic’s arms tan, Chris.

He also attempted to get people to boycott the game, thinking others were pissed about the arm color change. However, only weens joined him.

Ironically, Chris’ first drawing of Sonic had, you guessed it, blue arms.
What was the point of the Sonic Boom Protests? Lowkey Sonic looks better with blue arms.

Protestant Dinner

When a Protestant invites their friends to dinner and asks the waitress for separate bills, as opposed to a Catholic Dinner where the host pays for each of their guests as a gesture of goodwill.
My Lutheran neighbor invited me to a Protestant Dinner and I had to pay for my own meal despite being his guest.

No Kings Protest

The one day protest across the nation where hundreds of thousands of people marched against ICE raids targeting illegal immigrants.
Why are there not No Kings Protests every weekend calling for the Queen from Queens to resign? Did they only organize to give Don a distraction from his very public breakup with First Gentleman Elon Musk? People don't care about ending wars in Gaza and Ukraine? There are no kings here, but there certainly is a queen.

Uncivil Protests

Here's why they are dumb...
Hym "Right but the problem with your uncivil protests is that the government doesn't give a shit if Wal-Mart's windows get busted because 'ThEy HaVe InSuRaNcE!' The people you collectively have a problem with aren't the ones paying the price for your discontent because you aren't even GOING TO WHERE THEY ARE. And now that you've framed protesting AT THE ACTUAL PLACE WHERE THE PEOPLE YOU ARE PROTESTING ARE as an 'Insurrection' and 'violence bad' the people responsible for the collective discontent are never even affected by the thing you're doing to other people who are not them. It's like a peasant revolt where the peasants burn down everything EXCEPT FOR THE KING'S CASTLE and then just go home. It doesn't work. What are you going to do? Replace the guy who says he believes the things you believe with another guy who claims to believe what you believe? 2 or 4 years from now? That's already been happening. 'If OnLy It WaSn'T fOr ThE oThEr GuY!' you'll perpetually cry but YOU'RE already were you are. You're an object in motion. So, it doesn't really matter is it doesn't work. But you know what does work (and I'm not advocating for this) 100% of the time? The threat of hammer clowns. In theory. They are the only thing keeping us safe. Hammer clowns and the threat of hammer clowns. Just look at Afghanistan. Their hammer clowns won and now they need new hammer clowns or be ruled by taliban indefinitely. If only they were amenable to reason.... Hmm... Tragic... Oh well..."
