another way of saying "what?" or "whats up?" or even "hello"
Also used to say what in the context of, "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"

Me: Hey, what's going on?
Troy: Haah?
Me: Oh, nothing, I just said what's up.
Troy: Oh, nothing. What's up?
