kenrick

Trinidadian slang for "Nothing" or "Zero". Derived from a pun on the name of Kenrick Norton, a small-time politician who never made good on his promises to the public,("Norton"/"Nuttin'"/"Nothing"). Eventually just the word "Kenrick" became an acceptable synonym.

"That gyul ent give me Kenrick yet bwoy."
"The weed plant ent have Kenrick on it."

Super Cat

The original dan-dada. One of the original founders of the modern Jamaican dancehall (not to be confused with reggae) movement, Super Cat is well-respected by dancehall artistes past and present. Unfortunately, Super Cat is also on the run from Jamaican authories for murdering someone in broad daylight, making him an exile from his own country. Hey, you win some...
