riot girl

1. A phrase describing a prominent scene during the early 90's. It was made up of mostly women. "Riot grrl" music dealt with issues such as feminism, rape, abortion, sexuality, etc., and some girls published 'zines. However, today it has been incorrectly used by Good Charlotte fangirls to describe female fans of the band, due to a song they wrote called "Riot Girl" describing their dream girl.
2. A girl or woman involved in the movement.
Also spelled "riot grrl" or "riot grrrl".

Kathleen Hanna was one of the godmothers of the "riot girl" movement.
Most Good Charlotte fans calling themselves "riot girls" don't know what it actually is.

A chavette is the female equal to a chav.

They are spotted for having a council house facelift or hair tyed back with loads of mouse and or hairspray. They wear big hoop earings and necklaces with the clown or doll on. They sometimes wear 'stripy jumpers'-(fred perry, henry lloyd etc) they usually smoke fatall to teenage pregnacys and speak the chav language they also wear rockports and burberry purfume etc
