Once popular, now defunct chain of retail stores similar to K-Mart or Wal-Mart. Founded in 1962, the stores were at their height of popularity in the 1970s. All Woolco stores eventually closed down in 1983, never to be heard from again.
I found a great deal on a blender at Woolco, but when I took it out to use it, I found it didn't work. Now I know not to buy things just because they are cheap.

Has appeared on other televison series such as, "Hannah Montana", and "Laverne and Shirley". Had a number one hit (her only one), in 1973, with "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia".
