Precautionary Principle

It is when a country attacks another country (or entity) that it fears may plan to attack it later. In other words, it takes action not because of factual threat but of mere potential risk. The precautionary principle is also applied when someone is detained or jailed not because of what he has actually done but because of what the government or police think he may potentially do.

The United States attacked and occupied Iraq using the Precautionary Principle. Nothing would prevent it to use the same principle to attack Iran.

A blog characterized by excessive commenting on irrelevant facts. We say that the blogger suffers from uncontrollable verbal discharge or blogorrhea.

This guy's blog is full of useless crap. It is like his brain just burst with projectile blogorrhea.

citta slow

from the Italian "citta" meaning city and English "slow". It is a new trend in living that started in the Italian city of Orvieto. The concept of Citta Slow or Cittaslow tries to promote quality of life by creating a more humane and ecologically correct environment, and thru enjoyment of food, art, theatre, community gathering places etc... The movement is a staunch opponent of globalization and the increasingly fast pace of life. This an excerpt of the Cittaslow Manifesto: “towns where men are still curious of the old times, towns rich of theatres, squares, cafes, workshops, restaurants and spiritual places, towns with untouched landscapes and charming craftsman where people are still able to recognize the slow course of the Seasons and their genuine products respecting tastes, health and spontaneous customs...."

Walmart and MacDonalds hate the Citta Slow movement and hope it will never see the day of light in America.

barb

Extremely sharp, saw-toothed shaped dart, made of cartillage and grows on the back tail of sting rays. It is used by the animal for defense. In addition to being razon sharp, the barb is also poisonous.

Steve Irwin, also known as Crocodile Hunter, was Killed by a sting ray's barb that penetrated his chest and heart.

it is said of people of little strength, character or resolve. also said about men who can't get an erection during sex.

I slept with Roger last night. He couldn't get it up. he's got no lead in pencil (or no lead in his pencil).

freakshow politics

Used by certain political groups or agents. Freakshow politics is a divisive type of strategy that capitalizes on extreme aspects -usually negative ones- of the political opponent and utilizing those thru media and propaganda to attack that opponent's character and reputation instead of tackling the real facts and issues at hand.

John Kerry and the swift boat debacle, that was freakshow politics at its best.

damage cuntrol

When husbands rush to cover for a wife's embarassing behaviour -during a PMS bout for example- in a party or at the mall by apologizing profusely to everyone present and sheepishly picking up after the mess she leaves behind.

Paul: Hey Jim, is that your wife picking up the FootLocker guy by the nose-ring and hitting him with a running shoe on the head?
Jim (shooting towards the store): Damage cuntrol, damage cuntrol...
