Was one of the best / most memorable shooters ever released in 2016.
Nowadays... Pretty much a dead game from multiple factors:

1. It's developers don't know what the hell they're doing and are pussy-whipped by popular streamers to change anything they don't like, balanced or not (making it unplayable trash as a result).
2. Renowned for coddling the largest and most toxic / cancerous group of mouth-breathing, whiny, sweaty, tryhard, immature, selfish, peanut-brained manchildren ever to congregate in a video game community. They give League of Legends and Call of Duty a run for their money in toxic communities.
3. Due to the first 2, their own mods and devs hardly even communicate with their own dumpster fire of a community. Updates to the game are infrequent and random, they rarely (if ever) reply to people in their own forums / reddit threads, and they mostly ignore or outright silence anything bad said about them - even if it's constructive. Heroes are changed almost monthly due to dumb as hell updates, so players constantly have to relearn the game. Even then, game is still buggy as hell and people have left in droves to play other games where the game and community isn't led by complete morons.

Think of Lawbreakers and how that game went, except with much more manchildren and staff who don't know how developing a game works. That's Overwatch.
Overwatch was known as one of the most successful shooters in it's genre. It was one of the best shooters ever seen in the two years it was released, now it's dead, and Activision Blizzard has no one but their own stupidity & incompetence to blame for it.
