Ukrainian professional boxer and former Olympic star, born in Odessa, Soviet Union in 1988.
Two-time Olympic gold medallist, winning in 2008 and 2012 at featherweight and lightweight respectively, and former two-time World Amateur Champion. Generally regarded as one of the greatest amateur fighters of all time, having ended his distinguished career with a record of 396-1 and twice avenging a sole defeat.
Turned professional in 2013 and in 2014, in what was only his third bout, defeated American Gary Russell, Jr. via majority decision to capture the vacant WBO World Featherweight title. In doing so he became only the second boxer to win a world title after just three fights. A seven round destruction of the highly rated and previously undefeated Nicholas Walters followed, subsequently elevating him amongst the world’s leading pound for pound fighters.
Reports of a proposed mega-fight with fellow amateur legend Guillermo Rigondeaux - widely touted as one of the sport’s outstanding matchups - surfaced in 2016, but talks broke down over a suitable catchweight and thus far the fight has yet to be materialise.

A critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic Role Playing Game released exclusively for the Sega Saturn console in early 1998.
Memorable characters, immersive narrative, haunting visuals, cutting edge voice acting - a vast, sprawling epic which was arguably unsurpassed at the time.
The game was largely overshadowed by that of several other blockbuster hits from the same year - Gran Turismo, Metal Gear Solid and the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time all helped to ensure that this masterpiece of a game somehow went virtually unnoticed.
Despite its limited release and relative obscurity, the game has since garnered a cult following and is now recognised as one of the best RPGs of all time.

New preferred nickname for the boxer Saul ’Canelo’ Alvarez, following his two failed doping tests for the banned substance Clenbuterol.
The situation itself has caused quite a problem amongst the sport’s rampantly corrupt elite, since any lifetime ban for such a huge pay-per-view attraction would significantly harm their own financial interests.
Instead, a 6 month suspension (the time he would take between fights anyway) with no further screening has been imposed, thus insuring that his lucrative career may continue uninterrupted and that all future bouts may proceed as planned.
