Most people living in southern Delaware, New Jersey, and all of the deep South. Typically live in trailers, have sixteen one-eyed, eight-limbed, buck-toothed, 'special needs' kids, and are related by blood to everyone within a twenty mile radius. Scary people that always own a rifle and drive disgusting old red pickups and have cars without wheels on cinder blocks on their property, which, by the way, you better get the hell off of before Bubba shoots you...

hentai

'Hentai' is another word that has sneaked into Internet language that has its roots in the Japanese language.

It literally means 'abnormal', but refers to perverts or perverted material, be it in anime, manga, or doujinshi form. It's all animated, drawn, etc. None of it is real. But I guess there are people that just can't get any...

otaku

Calling yourself an otaku IS bad, as half of the definitions already state. It is the equivalent of a nerd or a shut-in, one of those people with skin the color of pasty white potato innards that obviously never leave their rooms. They speak badly-pronounced Japanese with broken phrases and improper words... like... say... OTAKU. American 'otaku' take pride in being nerdy pale-skinned freaks, and often scan over the latest hentai, yaoi, and yuri just to get off... most don't even know the ENGLISH LANGUAGE that well.

Most otaku sport a collection of Pokemon DVDs, trading cards, and pocky.

shota

I believe it refers to underaged sex, another piece of hentai material where one or both of the participants are 14 or younger. It is a Japanese term. Mostly people that like yaoi/yuri/hentai also like shota.

doujinshi

Doujinshi is amateur manga publications, featuring either a cast of original characters and plot or characters from another manga or an anime (a 'fan manga'). There's all sorts of doujinshi, though it isn't as widely circulated as more popular mangas, such as CLAMP works. Doujinshi is often cheap but is just as good as regular manga (well, some of the time...), and is sold on eBay, jpqueen.com, and other sites. Even if it isn't your bag, it's nice to take a peek and see a fan's perspective on Naruto... kinky pairings, too.
