A term used to express that someones understanding of a word, quote, event or issue has been wrapped away from reality by twitter.

The term came about in response to the tendency of twitter users to misinterpret things then spread that misinterpretation around like a game of telephone.

Eg 1.

"Man, this reporter is always twitter wrong"

Person 1: "Why do US history books put an emphasis on the US involvement in WWII as if they won the war when Russia actually did?"
