Ares Toraernos is the protagonist of the Brandish series by Nihon Falcom, though he is also commonly called “Varik” due to his association with Toby Fox’s Earthbound Halloween Hack.

Ares is a 27 wandering swordsman who was once hired by the mage Balcan to kill the King of Filveria, King Giselle, as he had turned into a power hungry tyrant. However, this fight resulted in Giselle turning into Aeipron, and possessing Balcan. Balcan ordered Ares to kill him so that he wouldn’t be overtaken by Aeipron’s possession. As Ares kills Balcan, one of Balcan’s daughters, Dela Delon, walks in, and mistakes Ares for murdering Balcan. Dela swears revenge against Ares and chases after him throughout the Brandish series. In Brandish 1, he and Dela fall into the

ruins of Vittoria, and must make their way to the surface. In Brandish 2, Ares is revealed to have collected a sword in Vittoria known as the Planet Buster, a sword so powerful it can destroy planets with a single swing if desired. This results in King Badorrer of Bundevia to hire a mercenary named Karl Kares to capture Ares so he can use the sword for his nefarious goals. In Brandish 3, Ares reconciles with Dela and tracks down the Sacred Stone to stop Gower, the former advisor of Giselle, the king he and Balcan had killed many years ago.

The main protagonist of the Brandish series, though his real name is actually Ares. Varik is more well known for being the main character of the "Earthbound Halloween Hack" made by Toby Fox in 2008. (Note: He is not Toby Fox's OC) Varik/Ares is typically a silent wandering swordsman that works as a bounty hunter and loves to drink beer. Ever since his debut in the Earthbound Halloween Hack he has been slowly becoming more popular in the Undertale and Deltarune fandom, with it being common for people to headcanon for him to be somehow related to Kris from Deltarune given their similarities in design.

Varik is also the main character in Undertale Halloween Hack, which is a fan sequel to Earthbound Halloween Hack and the series that No More Nuzzles is from.

A guy who made a series of Five Nights at Freddy's animations that are nostalgic to the FNAF community and were popular during FNAF's prime peak in popularity. Basically, it's a FNAF love story where Foxy and Mangle are dating and Chica gets jealous. Some drama goes down and this later results in Springtrap using Mangle to revive Fredbear because his memory chip is inside Mangle. Despite these videos coming off as a cheesy furry romance of the sort, the animation and voices are really well done and this is to this day regarded as a better love story than Twilight and is a cinematic masterpiece to FNAF fans.

An obscure dungeon crawling RPG by Nihon Falcom. The game was released in 1991 on the PC98 and FM Towns and later ported to the SNES and PC Engine. The story follows a wandering swordsman named Ares Toraernos, who is pursued by his nemesis Dela Delon, who has accused him of murdering her teacher. The two fall down into the sunken ruins of an abandoned kingdom and you must navigate Ares out of the game’s stages. Brandish was successful enough in Japan to get 3 sequels and a PSP remake.

Otherwise spelt as “Lakynn”, Laklynn is a fan name (granted, an unpopular one) used by a small portion of FNAF fans when referring to the security guard character Vanessa from Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach before she was revealed as Vanessa in the final game. It was also very frequent for “Laklynn” to be shipped with Vanny, the antagonist of Security Breach.

This scenario is similar to how FNAF fans used to call William Afton or Purple Guy by the name “Vincent”, though this trend was much more popular in the peak days of FNAF.
