It started to die out in early 2021, partially due to a stupid update which added "quick chat", a weird chat system that isn't quick at all, according to literally everyone. In March-April 2021, innersloth added a new map, called "the airship", alongside the accounts update, which was hated by the Among Us community, mainly because it was very buggy. Afterwards, they decided to change the art style, add new colors and 11-15 player lobbies. I think they've also added new roles. At the time I'm writing this, it's 2022 and the game is somehow still alive, especially the unfunny, overused memes, like "When the imposter is sus!!1!1!1!1!", which I see ALL THE DAMN TIME! Like, can Among Us just die already?
