"Woke" is the ideological and political equivalent of a valley girl instagrammer going to one Buddhist temple, hugging one Indian child, buying a sash from a tourist trap, seeing a goat or something outside a zoo and then making a social media post calling themselves enlightened while posing with a checked off world-map, starbucks, a Hindu Om necklace, with #blessed #spiritual #enlightened among other obnoxious tags.

Claiming oneself to be 'awake' to all things bad-bad while in reality they're just another useful idiot to power hungry marxist social justice ideologues.

Meant to describe how ones Awareness of the vastness of our universe and deep meaning behind every aspect of human life. Has nothing to due with being aware of specifically racism or SJW bullshit. Being Woke is knowing what is actually going on in the world and being able to read between the lines, or even further and reading through the lines.

This is the original Urban Definition of Woke or WOKE back from 2015 when The homies in Long Island New York Witnessed the new use of it. Before the Mainstream took the term and made up a new false definition of the term.

An outdated word that cringe-cervatives use as a description of the left. They think it makes them sound cooler when really they sound like a dumb millennial who relies on FOX as their only news outlet

They also use “based” to describe themselves which may be even worse.

Short for “Awoken” starting in the late 1980’s. Gaining popular use after the Spike Lee movie School Daze, where the final scene has an actor yelling “Wake Up” about the problems in their faces. The wake up/ woke term referred to those college age, African American demographic that Lee addressed in many of his movies. To be woke was “not to be asleep” to the problems of race relations.

The word has since been stolen from hip hop culture and usage, and used as a derogatory term by right wing politicians.
