The jam scale is a method by which a song's quality may be determined subjectively, and ranges from 0-10. A song's jam rating is determined by several factors which themselves range from 0-10, and are averaged to achieve the final jam rating:

1. Verbal approval of the jam from the sample listening party.

2. Physical response to the jam (i.e. headbanging, toe-tapping, dancing, singing along, etc.)

3. Memorability/recognizability of the jam.

4. Broadness of the jam's appeal (e.g. a classical music fan headbanging to death metal).

5. The frequency of these responses based on repeated listening. A jam's rating may not be high at first, but may increase upon repeated exposure.

Due to the subjective nature of the jam scale, ratings can vary wildly from different sample groups. It is not recommended to pollute your own data with another group's, nor theirs with yours.

The Toolbox scale is meant to best represent the jobs most suitable for societal misfits within Canadian industry. Some jobs are simply meant for the more unconventional types of personality. While these people in many cases cannot hold down more normal jobs in society, in many cases they thrive in their ideal occupation. The list is not all inclusive, and only encompasses positions where observation based data has been collected.

The hardest scale in the world. On this scale if you get a 5 that is a 10 on any regular scale. Anytime you are rated on the Trent Scale you know it will be a harsh rating.

Scale invented after infamously known League of Legends game balancer Mark Yetter chose to change the ranking system of the game and as a result the higher elos of Solo Queue became infested with rats that got inflated as a result of his changes, players later came to call this change of events "The Mark Yetter Scale" as a way to calculate the ranks of new friends in high elo.

A Rating Scale ranging from 1-10 used to judge the attractiveness of a female based on how good she would look if she was going to prom.

To calculate a Prom Night rating one must account for professionally done make-up and hair. Spray-tan, self-tanner and other skin enhancing products must be accounted for as well.

Normal Female 1-10 Scale Conversion rate: +2 per point.

Similar to the pH scale in chemistry, The SWAMP (Sesh-With-Against-Meet-Parents) Scale is a 1-10 scale used to rate a guy/girl you are dating.

The idea is to compare how much you enjoy seshing (British, partying) with them, against how comfortable you think you would feel introducing them to your parents.

For example, if you were dating a girl who's an absolute riot and a great laugh on a night out, but maybe too extreme of a character to be your parents' cup of tea you'd probably put them at around a 1 or a 2. This is in no way a traditionally 'low' score, it's just heavily weighted to one end of the scale.

Alternatively, if you were dating a guy who is polite, very well mannered, who your parents would definitely love, but doesn't like staying out after 11pm or drinking more than two units in a week, you'd probably rate him closer to an 8 or a 9 on the scale, depending of course on your own preferences.

The idea for most people would be to find a partner who is as close to a balanced 5 as possible.
