When a person wants the latest and greatest release of software or hardware. Term used by professional/computer geeks in the Information Technology field. Being an upgrade whore has consequences, for example, glitches, bugs, usability, etc.
Tim upgraded to iOS 7, but now he is having trouble with his Wireless and bluetooth connectivity. That's what he gets for being an upgrade whore. He should have waited for iOS 7.1.
