Up, down, and all around describes an emotional state of being that is completely skitophrenic - You have had a good day, a bad day, and a lot of emotions in between.
Today they messed up my order at Taco Bell, I drove an hour out of my way to a job that was closed, I won $5 in the lottery, I had to pee on someone else's poop after I wet my pants in the gas station, my car is broken, and now I have to drive back to my office because I forgot something there. I hate the boy I thought I liked, and I just might hate men altogether. My day was up, down and all around.
