The term "trashpanda" is a linguistic modification/simplification for the word "raccoon", also known as the common raccoon, North American raccoon, northern raccoon and colloquially as coon, is a medium-sized mammal native to North America.
Linguistic modification is a process by which more complex words can be modified in ways that clarify and simplify the text without simplifying or significantly altering the construct that is being tested.
