Transculture is an umbrella term for people who don't identify with the culture that they have been born into. Similar to "transgender fluidity" transcultural individuals may move between cultural identities, often attempting to participate in a balancing act between trying to fit in with the new normal, and trying to be either in the majority or in a minority culture. If a certain culture becomes offensive, or when an individual's circumstances change, it is possible that a person would become transcultural.
After years living in a privileged culture I chose a transculture lifestyle and now live in poverty and on the streets.
