B-57 Canberra
The B-57 Canberra is a British licensed bomber jet. It was first introduced in 1951. The US broke its policy of not buying foreign aircraft because the Canberra was one of the first jets. The Canberra was a response to the Messerschmidt and Arado German jets, which were developed too late to affect the out come of the war, but shocked the Allies nonetheless. The B-57 Canberra replaced the B-26 Invader. The USAF produced a total of 403 B-57s before production ended in 1959. One thing that made the B-57 uniqe was its rotating bombing door.

Heinz 57 is a shortened form of a historical advertising slogan "57 Varieties of Pickles" by the H. J. Heinz Company located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It has come to mean anything that is made from a large number of parts or origins.

Another (rather harmless, I think) slang term to denote an African American. (The 64 original Crayola Crayons box had number ID's for the colors. Guess what color 57 is?)

To menstruate. (Derivation: One hits the tiny '57' on the side of a stubborn bottle of Heinz ketchup to encourage it to pour.)

An AR-15 or a Mil/LE M4 modified to use P90 magazines and shoot the 5.7x28mm bullet. The AR-57's shells eject from the magwell and it also has no gas system. It's available in three types, 16.04" barrel, SBR 12" barrel, and internally suppressed 12" barrel. It's very reliable and very accurate.
