The act of filling a glass with liquid, usually bourbon, so much so, that the liquid is above the rim of the glass due to surface tension. The term was derived in Portland, Oregon during poker sessions in the early 2000's. When a player nicknamed 'Swami' asked fellow poker players if they wanted a bourbon, he proceeded to fill the player's glasses as much as physically possible, thus it's now called a 'swami pour'.
"Sure I'll have another bourbon. I'm not driving, so give me a swami pour."
