A sequel to the popular PC RTS game Starcraft. Is hoped by fans of the series to be released by at most 2010. Rumors have been flying about this game recently on many Starcraft websites and on their online gaming service, Battle.Net.

The sequel to the kickass game Starcraft, the most kickass game to date. Expected to come out in the year 2010 but had better come out sooner, or we will pwn Blizzard for it (after they finish the game of course). It's release date could very well be declared a Korean national holiday, given that Starcraft (the original) is highly popular in the country and is considered a sport.
The game, like its predecessor, features the three races: Terran, Zerg, and Protoss fighting for control of the sector.
General gameplay will be very similar to the original Starcraft with the edition of kickass new units and abilities, the sickest looking of which is the Protoss Mothership, which is a giant golden ship containing a protoss city inside. It looks similar to a Gua'uld Mothership from sci-fi series Stargate.

Officially announced on May 18th, 2007, Starcraft 2 has no release date as of yet. This RTS had been anticipated by many games and will most likely be a huge hit. The graphics have largely changed from the previous Starcraft and they have instead adopted graphics that are very similar to Command and Conquer 3. A game that IS coming out. Supposed to come out August of 2008. To the guy who said that it copies Warhammer 40k: Come say that to my face and I will knock ur nose into the back of ur skull. Starcraft dominates any RTS and did not copy WH 40k. If ur gonna say that, u must as well say WH 40k copied WARCRAFT. Which warcraft was made BY THE PEOPLE WHO ARE MAKING STARCRAFT 2. Ya. Stfu. Blizzard has their own ideas. Blizzard kicks ass. Blizzard is the 1337 PwNaGe bitch. They don't and never have copied SHIT.

A really awesome game that'll probably never come out, since Blizzard cares a lot more about World of Warcraft, because it makes them $$$OMG CASH MONEY$$$!111

A game that was anticipated for over a decade, but when it finally came out left most people wondering "we waited 12 years for THIS?" Not necessarily a bad title, just that the only good things about it are in the original Starcraft.
Instead of a new game, it's more like a fan-made expansion pack. This is because the current generation of Blizzard employees never worked on the original and lack the creativity of their predecessors. Instead, Blizzard hired obsessive nerds that eat, live, and breathe Starcraft to design the sequel so naturally they couldn't come up with anything except duplicating the original game.

"Yeah, I tried it out but it's the same freaking game I played a decade ago. Coulda saved 50 bucks by dusting off my Brood War CD, oh well."
Hardcore basement-dwelling nerds complain about Starcraft 2 for the exact opposite reason: "OMG HOW DARE THEY CHANGE ANY OF THE UNITS OR IMPROVE THE INTERFACE WHEN I SPENT THE LAST 12 YEARS OF MY LIFE PRACTICING HOW TO MAKE SCVs GO TO MINERALS AS SOON AS THEY SPAWN!!!11!"
