When walking around muttering something smutty and rude under your breath.

John : "I'd smash her back doors in given half a chance...."
Pete : "What's that dude?"
John : "Nothing, just smuttering to myself."

smuttering

The act of an individual, usually alone in an office cubicle, complaining at a volume just loud enough for nearby cube-dwellers to hear, and hopefully get some sympathy or attention. The words used for the complaints usually solicit the sympathy.

"This is unbelievable, just unbelievable." John, quit your smuttering, I don't care.
