The state of being sidetracked for a period of time... hours later you realize what you were originally supposed to be doing.
I left last night to go to the store to buy some groceries. But then I got a phone call, asking me to do someone a favor. This caused me to be sidetracked & forget about why I left home.
The following morning, I was almost home I got traction when I realized I still haven't picked up the groceries. This is a case of Side-Traction
