When one chooses to become romantically involved with someone who is not as impressive, but just as simple to be with, as the best available because it's easier.
A person who is looking out for herself should never settle out of spite, but perhaps can playfully think it.

Settle is a small town in the Yorkshire dales, the majority of the locals are related but still deny being inbred. These people also are born live and die in the town with no hopes and aspirations of life anywhere else. This doesn’t make sense as there is nothing to do in settle whatsoever other than go to the pub or slit your wrists.
