This is in response to the 12th post about Romania. It was too disgusting and fallacious of a comment.
Contrary to the fallacies and unfounded claims that you have conjured up, the reality is...
Romania's economy growth is among one of the fastest in the European Union. By nominal GDP, Romania is the 11th largest in the EU. It is not a poor country.
Romania does not have the largest gypsy population in the world. Countries such as Bulgaria, Macedonia, Hungary, Spain, Serbia and Greece also have significant populations of gypsies. Having said that, it should have also been noted that Gypsies are not of Romanian, Spanish, Bulgarian, etc. origin, but rather have roots in northwestern India and Pakistan.
I am not even going to begin listing ACTUAL Romanian traditions, as I believe it is quite evident that what you have listed is pure rubbish and lacks essence, as well as validity.
Romania does NOT have the biggest AIDS infection rate in Europe. In fact, the infection rate per million for 2006 was 8.3, whereas Italy, for example, had an infection rate of 74.4, and Kazakhstan (since you have brought it up in other fallacious claims) had an AIDS infection rate of 117.8 per million.
Romania's literacy rate belongs to the category of greater than 97%. Other countries that are part of this category are Canada, Spain, The U.S. and France, along with others. Perhaps you are the one that is not so literate, as you have demonstrated that you were unable to verify your information from a literate source.
"They are not white people." If you are, again, implying that Romanians are "gypsies", and thus are not "white", you are once more conjuring up unreliable information. Romanians are Caucasian.
Next time you wish you insult a country and its people, do the appropriate amount of research in order to avoid looking obtuse and uninformed.

ive seen many posts on romania, and how its terrible.
lemme tell you, im from there, and yh its not the best country ever, but it certainly isnt the worst!!
education is messed up yh (like in america)
were not as poor that we cant afford a house- those parts are the gypsies parts of romania, or the small towns near the highway. its really pretty :)
i personally have nothing against hungary, idk why its so huge, but everyone has their own opinions i guess
the streets arent the cleanest, but its nowhere near america...
we've had our things in the past, w communism and stuff, so thats why it may not look the best, but were recovering, right? like if someone cuts ur leg open its not just gonna disappear into thin air..
i personally find it very pretty, and i think you should visit it, especially sinaia!!

I can't believe some of the stuff written about Romania. I am actually a Romanian residing in the US. Seems to me like most of the people that talk about AIDS, Hungary, gypsies have never been abroad, never the less to Romania.
Get your facts straight, as Romania is by far one of the best places in the world where you could live and love the people of the country. I am lucky for spending 21 years of my life over there. When living in the US has actually taught me how not to take stuff for granted.
Romania still is a poor country compared to Germany, France, etc, they are just building the freeway system throughout the country, which seems like its going to take forever to finish. Their politicians are corrupt (just like anywhere in the world) only they do it in plain sight.
However as far as people, places and the 2000 year culture they had inherited from the Romans and Dacians (see Dacia car manufacturer best selling car in Europe) Romania was, is and will be one of the best places you can go visit.
I like to put it as the country where "shit is still raw". Really funny the comment on the guy that said that the only breakfast thing @ McDonald's is the McToast which is a hamburger bun flipped upside down with ham and cheese. Romanians don't make a big thing about breakfast. They still got scrambled eggs bacon, etc. They are big on organic foods with no additives.
