A word denoting something unappealing or uncouth. A portmanteau of ‘revolting’ and ‘vulgar’ that conveys inappropriateness or describes something completely gross. Often used to take down someone for their sexual promiscuity. Probably coined in Claremont, Western Australia around the time of the Claremont Serial Killings, although unrelated to the killings themselves.
