Created by Something Awful goons Diabetus, Slowbeef, and Proteus, Retsupurae is an active effort to improve the quality of Youtube Let's Plays. In other words, they rip undesireable LPer's god-awful videos apart so hard they commit Youtube suicide.

The story of Retsupurae begins with Slowbeef, the man who started the trend of video Let's Plays. One day, while browsing the Youtubes for Contra 3 and Snatcher videos to jack off to, Slowbeef found a god-awful Let's Play and was horrified and heart-broken at what had become of his creation. Returning to the sanctity of the SA forums, he had a heart-to-heart with his bros Diabetus and Proteus. After many ounces of Ben and Jerry's, they decided to form Retsupurae (a clever mispronunciation of 'Let's Play') to get back at those that mocked his life's work.

Today, the retsupuraer's are enjoying massive Youtube fame. This basically gets them nothing, as nobody cares about Youtube celebrities, but they're still pretty funny and hey, it sure as hell beats watching another one of DeceasedCrab's abominations.
