a reddit goblin is a person who lives in the "new" filter of reddit, and downvotes any post they do not agree with in literal seconds of it being live, thus preventing it from gaining any internet points and making it to the front page.
"Damn, those angry reddit goblins downvoted my post within .004 seconds of it being live. Don't they have anything better to do then live on reddit"

The safeguarding of Earth and other worlds from biological cross-contamination (i.e. billionaires with too much time on their hands).
