A self-doting submission to Urban Dictionary, usually under the title of one’s own name, for the sole purpose of stroking the adolescent ego of a budding sociopath.
“Billy spent all of class writing a rambling vanity post, because that’s what happens when your parents tell you you’re so special but also don’t discipline”.

When someone makes a comment or post on social media to gain a bunch of attention, then edits the comment or post later to spread their intended message with popularity. Watch what you comment or like, you might be supporting something you don’t!

When a friend on facebook wants to talk to you Via Status by tagging you in a status, a variant of wall-posting, most people find this kind to be very annoying and almost immediately untag themselves. Normally the post will be in what kids call "text talk" meaning it may go like this "AYYYY @JOHN WALL B SP3N1N THE N1GHT NIQQA!" It may even get worse, because we all know the black population forgot how to type English.

A "show posting" occurs when you have secured a new job with the recruiting manager and then the organizations, kicks off the "job posting!, but you know the corporate process is bullshit as you have already secure the position, it is a facade, only a show to check the "corporate process" checkbox.
A friend knows a VP on Bank of America, who could offer you a management position talk to her to secure the job and the she will complete the "show posting" corporate process
