A Plungie (alternately known as #Plungie) is a slang term for making a French Press or a Cafetiere style coffee. The name is derived from the action of pressing down the plunger or piston to separate the grounds from the delicious coffee which holds them at the bottom of the cylinder.
Person 1: What time is it?
Person 2: it's PLUNGIE TIME! *cue lights and loud music*
