In a couple, the person who does not participate in day-to-day or larger decisions and makes minimal contributions to the couples finances. In extreme cases, the petner is referred to, and communicated with by the other person in much the same manner as a dog.
Since Ben came back from Antarctica and moved in with Karen he;' turned into her petner. She controls everything: he has no money and hasn't even been looking for work. He can't do anything without her permission, and only eats what she allows him to. If he doesn't obey her she screams at him and turns him out into the yard until she is ready to forgive him.

Intelligence agency term for "psychological operation". A government or corporate-sponsored operation, usually taking the form of a "terrorist attack" or "crazed gunman on a spree", with the intent of panicking the public into demanding more police and laws inhibiting freedom. Psyops are usually carried out by drugging a civilian or group of civilians with aggression-promoting drugs, psyching them up, arming them, and sending them out to commit mayhem.
