Open Your Purse is a phrase that took its relevancy around May 2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic and the rise of civil unrest in the U.S because it put celebrities and blue tick approved "influencers" in check. It emphasizes that their money only matters when it's being donated to actually help others because their sappy "wE nEEd mOre lOvE" and "eVerYonE sTay sAfE" posts were not helping infected, the arrested, protesters nor front line medical workers".
