The slang word for a southeast kansas town named chanute. Without alcohol, the town has no pleasant or time-consuming activities to take part in.

It means "nutrients", guys . . . . I can't imagine where all these silly definitions come from, but it originated in the health & exercise community: macro and micro nutes are essential to any workout program. It has since moved to being used in hydroponics, in which only the minerals fed to the plant are called "nutes". Same concept.
Make sure to focus on your micronutes, not just your macros, if you want to be an athlete.
If you want to grow the fattest green (or red, purple, yellow..) then give your plant all the nutes it needs.
