The two states of being are as a human being, or a hungry ghost. Semi-regularly you need to ask yourself which you are. Sometimes it is human. Others, alas, it is hungry ghost.
The hungry ghost seeks validity outside of themselves. Someone pining for an indifferent ex is a hungry ghost. Someone who arrives alone at 6:30 on Saturday night to a pub is probably a hungry ghost. Obsessive checking of mobile phones, chat sites or networks are clear signs that one is a hungry ghost.
The best thing to do is just stay home and ride it out. Read a book. Find some good clean fun.

A Nizza is a human that can read between the lines of propaganda used to control the masses and as a result is not driven to foolish "group think" that can cause chaos and predictable behaviors primarily exploiting group and individual fears to achieve political results for megalomaniacal deluded politicians
Scared human: "The news says we should stock up on supplies and brace for an attack."
Real Nizza: "Do not let the fear overwhelm your logic. Staying calm and being responsible for self and family is what is important."
Scared Human: "So what should I do?"
Real Nizza: "Be calm, and praise the creator for what you have AND what you do not have."
Scared Human: "What can I do to eliminate fear?"
Real Nizza: "Doing the right thing is the most potent antidote for fear for any nizza in this crazy world."
Scared Human: "What is the right thing?"
Real Nizza: "Do not follow the scared masses, but instead demonstrate courage and strength through unity to defeat evil and its mechanizations of global domination by resisting feeding off the tit of the mass media. Remember that with greater quantity naturally reduces quality. The relationship is inversely proportional. Break into small high quality trustworthy and loyal groups. Respect others until they reveal their intentions."
Confident Human: "Thank you NIZZA!"
Nizza: "Pass the word my Nizza"
