One that loves or has a strong affinity for objects that are powered by an engine or a motor and must be controlled by a human agent—This includes, but is not limited to, all motor vehicles such as cars, planes, boats, tractors, and even power tools. Related terms: motorphilia, motorphiliac.
A person who loves cars, boats, planes is a motorphile. Example: "Jason lives, eats, and breaths cars. He's such a motorphile!"
