Behaving like an individual who avoids the behaviours expected of a responsible and mature adult. Sarcastically used by adults regarding behaviours (or lack thereof) demonstrating a lack of maturity by millennial's who sarcastically use adulting to validate moments of maturation.

The period originated from the 18th century with the industrial revolution when the global average temperature increased. This is similar to past warm eras such as the Medieval warming and Roman warming.
