Managersplaining is a neologism for situations where micromanaging management personnel such as apartment managers or managers at a job overstep the normal boundaries of the purview of their pertinent "subordinate management" scope, and start condescendingly doling out priceless advice on just about any aspect of the life experience that exists outside their realm of expertise It is related to ultracrepidarianism and paternalism. The narcissistic belief is "I am a leader in one area, so I am a leader in all areas."
"I received a mass-emailed communique from the CEO today containing a blathering, managersplaining essay on "the real meaning of Thanksgiving." I was unaware that I worked for a company that produces Thanksgiving providence; I thought we made socks."
