Many started in their little league years because they were tired of hitting last and playing right field every game. Lacrosse is the only sport where height is not an advantage, therefore many short, fast “athletes” play lacrosse because their bodies are simply not built for Football, baseball, basketball etc. lacrosse is only played in about seven states so there’s basically no competition for college roster spots. Many lacrosse players receive scholarships from prestigious universities when they are nothing close to college athletes because of this lack in competition.
