The basic lower garment of the truly hardcore, Jorts are jeans, usually tight fitting, cut off at roughly the knee and allowed to fray, thus adding to the hardcore look.

The term "jorts" was first coined at the Silverado Golf Course in Scottsdale, Arizona. The staff used the word to make fun of the chops that wore jean shorts to play golf. "Jorts" are often sported with socks & sandals, Blu-Blocker sunglasses and mullets.
