A pubic hair piece. A toupee for the pubic area/genitals. In the 1700’s when mercury was used to treat sexually transmitted diseases (Gonorrhea or Syphilis) one of the side effects was the loss of pubic hair. To disguise this condition, that was not cured by mercury, a Merkin was employed.

Jamf is a gender neutral description for genital discharge. The term covers any category of seepage from the sexual areas and doesn't descriminate smell, colour or texture. It could mean a single source of discharge or a combination of liquids.

JAMF was NOT invented on Sanford and Son, nor by Clint Eastwood (etc.) although Redd Foxx was certainly hip to the original usage/meaning and used it to "slide one by" the uptight whiteboys on the Standards and Practices committee of his network. JAMF is an acronym for Jive Ass Mother Fucker, a black slang term coined in the late 1930s or early 1940s by jazz musicians, for use in "polite society" when ragging on someone. The word may have other uses/meanings at this late date (it's the title of an Apple multiple device management platform, for instance) but this definition is the correct one. Sometimes spelled "jamph," as in the Maynard Fergusson song title.
