Invertebratarians are people who follow a diet that includes invertebrates and excludes all other animals. In addition to shellfish (clams, mussels, oysters, scallops, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc.), an invertebratarian diet may include vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains, beans, insects, jellyfish, and any other type of meat from an invertebrate.
Person A: Is Joe some sort of vegan or pescatarian?
Person B: Nah, Joe eats invertebrates, but no meat, fish, dairy, or eggs. He's an invertebratarian.
